Stripes Beauty aims to normalise discussions about menopause and symptoms caused by hormonal changes in ageing women. The brand offers personal care and beauty products including nutritional supplements, skincare, haircare, and vaginal wellness items.

L Catterton plans to accelerate Stripes Beauty's growth both domestically and internationally. The investment firm will boost marketing, expand the team, develop new products, and improve customer service in the attainable luxury market.

New leadership has been appointed, with Debra Perelman, former Revlon CEO, as Executive Chair and Cara Kamenev, a former L'Oréal executive, as President.

Whitney Casey, who led the deal for L Catterton, said: "We believe in their mission to develop a community of support for women as they age. We will nurture and grow the Stripes Beauty brand, its community, and consumer loyalty."

Stripes Beauty is expanding into sleep support with a new product called The Dream Date. This supplement contains melatonin, magnesium, and red clover. The brand plans to launch on QVC and in Canada later this year, while also growing its presence on Amazon and its own e-commerce channels.

The acquisition follows Stripes Beauty's sale at auction to Sakana LLC in December 2023, after previous partner Amyris filed for bankruptcy.

Watts expressed excitement about the deal, stating: "I'm grateful to L Catterton for believing in our brand and sharing our vision of supporting women in menopause."
