Vhernier, founded in Valenza, Italy in 1984 and headquartered in Milan, was acquired by the Traglio family in 2001. The brand is known for its bold, sculptural designs that combine traditional precious materials with unconventional ones like titanium, bronze, and ebony. All jewellery pieces are handcrafted in Valenza, a city recognised for its high-quality jewellery craftsmanship. The brand operates mono-brand boutiques and is sold through select multi-brand stores, predominantly in Europe and the United States.

Vhernier also manages De Vecchi Milano 1935, an Italian silverware brand, known for its contemporary design and craftsmanship.

Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, praised Vhernier’s unique aesthetic and exceptional craftsmanship, noting that it complements Richemont’s portfolio of prestigious jewellery Maisons. Richemont plans to work with Vhernier’s team to unlock the brand's full potential.

Carlo and Maurizio Traglio, Chairman and CEO of Vhernier, expressed confidence in Richemont’s ability to nurture the brand and help it flourish.

The acquisition will not materially impact Richemont’s consolidated financials for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025. Vhernier’s results will be reported under Richemont’s Jewellery Maisons business.

The deal terms were not disclosed, and completion is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
